Tuesday December 5, 2017 – 6pm-8pm
Join us for a FREE Wine Tasting from Northern Italy

WINES WILL BE DISCOUNTED FOR OFF AND ON PREMISE PURCHASE

My good friend Alberto Panella will be returning to showcase wines from the Ermano Costa Winery in the Piedmont and a fantastic wine from the island of Sardegna .

Ermanno Costa wines are all estate grown and produced in small quantities using ancient traditional methods. I am never disappointed by any of the Ermanno wines and they have become one of my favorite producers.

We will be tasting 3 wines from the Ermanno Costa Winery

Balin, Ermanno Costa 100% Chardonnay

A great Chardonnay that is produced only in the best vintages. His Balin is a wine with structure that lends itself to years of ageability.

Barbera d’ Alba 100% Barbera Grapes

This is an intense full body Barbera. Aged in French Oak for 18-20 months. Only 611 cases produced.

Roero 100% Nebbiolo Grapes

Nebbiolo is a grape varietal widely grown in the Piedmont. Barolo, Barbaresco, Gattinara are all made using nebbiolo grapes from there specific communes.
Roero Nebbiolo is slightly softer and fruit driven because the soil is made of mostly sand and less clay compared to the other communes. Only 331 cases made!

From the Tenute Dettori Winery in Sardinia

Dettori wines are all true “Crue Wines” meaning each vineyard yields its own wines. They only use the indigenous varietals from Sardinia.
This is a great family run winery and I am looking froward to doing a tasting with all of their wines one day!

Tenores – 100% Cannonau Grapes

The color is a deep garnet. The nose delivers fruit and freshness with spices like rosemary, thyme, cloves, myrtle and blue and black berries. The mouth is fresh and alive with a medium body, with slightly sweet notes, still with high acidity. Spicy flavors are present with cinnamon and red berries. Tannins are smooth and very well integrated.

Reservations are highly suggested if you plan to stay for dinner.
