This will be our last tasting for the year and we will be showing a great variety of wines and a unique varietal from the Piedmont.

PIEDMONT

Albino Rocca Moscato
100% Moscato Grapes
This is the time of year for those of you who cringe at the taste of sweet wines.  Albino Rocca is one of the great producers in the Piedmont and his Moscato d’ Asti is  a Moscato for wine drinkers.   A great wine to have at the dessert table for the Holidays!

 Albino Rocca Barbaresco Montersino
100% Nebbiolo grapes
This Cru barbaresco  is a limited production of only 2,600 bottles.  Albino Rocca is one of my favorite Barbaresco makers.  They make 5 separate Cru Barbarescos and they are all excellent. 

 La Colombera , IL Montino
100% Timorasso Grapes
Italy has more native varieties of grapes used to make wine than any other country in the world.  I was recently introduce to Timorasso from the Piedmont.  This variety was nearly extinct in the 70s/80s.  Flavors such as apricot, peach, lime , and honey give this wine great depth.  Timorasso is also a white that benefits from ageing.  We are tasting the 2015 vintage and you will love it.

La Colombera, Vegia Rampana
100% Barbera Grapes
Intense dark fruit flavors and aromas of nutmeg and clove.  A crowd pleasing wine.

Veneto Region
Valpolicella Ripasso , Gamba
40% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Oseleta
This is a family run and operated winery that consists of 6 hectares of vineyards and they produce fantastic wines.
