Join us this coming Tuesday for a tasting of some new wines.  We will be tasting 5 wines:

FROM THE NICOSIA WINERY IN SICILY

Grillo 100% Grillo grapes. The origins of this variety, grown above all in western Sicily, are still shrouded in mystery, but it seems likely that it was brought to the island in ancient times by the Phoenicians during their travels throughout the Mediterranean. Grillo’s unique sensory properties have made it one of Sicily’s most highly prized grapes, producing white wines with enticing aromas of citrus fruit and aromatic herbs, and a zesty, fresh palate.

FROM THE PALLADINO WINERY, PIEDMONTE

Gavi di Gavi 100% Cortese grapes. Dry, clean, harmonious acidity, almonds and figs, with a good balance between nose and taste.

FROM THE ILLUMINATI WINERY, ABRUZZO

Montepulciano Riparosso 100% Montepulciano grapes Great everyday wine

FROM THE RODANO WINERY , TUSCANY

Chianti Classico Sangiovese and Canailo 2015 is considered to be a great vintage in Chianti and this wine shows why. Chianti Classico Vignna Viacosta 100% Sangiovese If you are lucky enough to have one of Enrico Pozzesi’s Viacosta wines, take your time enjoying it – they are made for long aging. The south facing Vigna Viacosta was replanted in 2008 with 100% Sangiovese and is the top ‘cru’ of the estate.
