For our next tasting we will be introducing you to great wines from Trentino-Alto Adige, Veneto,Tuscany, and Sardegna. They are all top wines from each of these regions and would be great gifts or perfect for a special holiday meal.

TRENTINO-ALTO ADIGE
Ferrari Brut
100% Chardonnay Grapes
Ferrari was named “Winery of the Year” by Italy’s famous wine guide Gambero Rosso. Started in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari, his winery has earned a worldwide reputation as the premier source for luxury metodo classico sparkling wines in Italy, a process used by the finest Champagne house in France.
Veneto Region
Fumanelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore
40% Corvina, 40% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella
The Marchesi Fumanelli family has cultivated grapes and produced wines from their estate for 28 generations dating back to 1470. Another historic estate producing top wines.
Tuscany Region
Il Palagio , Casino delle Vie
80% Sangiovese, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9 % Merlot, 2% Cab Franc
This estate has been farmed since the 1700s. In 1999 Sting and wife Trudy Styler purchased the estate in 1999. In 2000 they began the renovation of the vineyards and have released the inaugural vintage of their wines.
Full bodied red with aromas of mint, spice and blueberries.
Cabreo, IL Borgo
70% Sangiovese 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
Ambrogio Folonari and his son Giovanni are counted among Tuscanny’s top wine makers. Located just above Greve in the Chianti region, this estate makes wines capable of ageing 20 to 30 years. Dark fruit, leather and complexity complete this wine.
Tenuta San Guido, Le Difese
70% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Sangiovese
From the legendary producers of Sassicaia , which was recently awarded number 1 wine in Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list 2018. Fruit for Le Difese is selected from Tenuta San Guido’s younger vines. Strawberry, cherry, and hints of orange.
Sadegna Region
Agricola Punica, Barrua
85% Carignano 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot
Carignano is a grape from Spanish origins that is known for its low and elegant acidity and velvety tannin’s. Deep violet color , aromas of spice and wild herbs.
