Davide DiPaolo , Italian Portfolio Manager from Monsieur Touton Selection, will be returning with a special guest.  Vito Candela, from Apulia, Italy. After studying Business Administration in the U.S., Vito pursued his passion for wine and built a successful import business in Colombia, working with top Italian producers like Rocca delle Macie and Mionetto. He later took on key leadership roles as North America Export Director at Rocca delle Macie, Farnese Wine Group and San Marzano.

Vito will be showing 5 wines from his portfolio:

Tramari Rose, San Marzano
100% Primitivo Grapes
Created ‘between the seas’ (in Italian, “Tra I Mari”) Tramari Rosé is an elegant and light rosé, sophisticated yet casual, born in the sunshine of the Salento summers. Our flowers and a saline note on the palate that bring us back to the jagged and sandy coast. Made entirely from Primitivo grapes. Soft pink, hints of cherry and raspberry.

Edda Bianco, San Marzano
Mostly chardonnay grapes with small amount of native varietals
Edda (‘she’ in Salento dialect) is the feminine and sensual soul of San Marzano. It is a complex white wine, full of Mediterranean notes. Noticeable acidity intertwined with an enveloping and elegant warmth, savoury and mineral notes on the palate. The Chardonnay grapes give the wine finesse and longevity, together with different varieties indigenous to Puglia, that year after year compete to complement the blend.

Anniversario 62 Primitivo di Manduria DOP Riserva
100% Primitivo Grapes
Celebrating the year in which Cantine San Marzano was founded (1962), this Riserva is aged for 18 months in barriques to express all the strength and richness of the slightly overripe Primitivo grapes. An intense and complex wine, full-bodied and remarkably persistent, soft and rich in fine tannins.

Casalfero, Ricasoli
100% Merlot Grapes
A landmark Super Tuscan that represents the modern rebirth of one of Italy’s oldest wine estates. Produced by the legendary Ricasoli family at Castello di Brolio—the very winery that defined the original Chianti recipe in the 19th century—Casalferro stands out as a highly acclaimed, single-varietal 100% Merlot shaped entirely by Tuscan terroir.

COLLEDILÀ, Ricasoli Gran Selezione Chianti
100% Sangiovese Grapes
Sourced entirely from a single 7.6-hectare single vineyard in Gaiole, this 100% Sangiovese showcases the signature stony, limestone-rich alberese soil of the site.”Packed with cherry, raspberry and pomegranate flavors, this red is also succulent and verging on racy in profile, with a deep vein of mineral and peppery spice notes that intensify on the extended finish. Shows superb balance and grace, with the best yet to come.

Reservations are highly suggested if you plan to stay for dinner.
