We are excited to welcome Davide Bianco from the Fontanafredda winery located in the heart of Langhe, Piemonte.  

The story of Fontanafredda is a noble one. It began in 1858, when Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of Italy, purchased the estate (a former hunting preserve) in order to produce fine Barolo for his personal use. Today, the 250-acre Fontanafredda Barolo cru property in Serralunga d’Alba is the single largest contiguous wine estate in the Langhe. Additional properties in the communes of Barolo and Diano d’ Alba communes bring the total acreage of estate-owned land to 305. The ability to source fruit from some of the Barolo region’s most prized vineyard sites provides Fontanafredda with Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto grapes of the highest quality.

100% Cortese
A medium to full bodied white wine.  Intense bouguet of vanilla, lemon, and apple

Langhe Nebbiolo
100% Nebbiolo Grapes
Deep ruby red with violet highlights.  Soft on the palate
 
Barolo Serralunga d’ Alba
100% Nebbiolo Grapes
Intense nose with vanilla, spice, roses and underbrush

Barbaresco
100% Nebbiolo Grapes
Ruby red color.  Robust wine with great ageing potential

Barolo Lazzarito Vigna la Delizia
100% Nebbiolo grapes
This wine is the 1999 vintage.  A great treat and opportunity for all of you to taste some excellent aged Barolo.
