Wine Tastings

Davide DiPaolo , Italian Portfolio Manager from Monsieur Touton Selection, will join us for a special tasting of Italian Wines! We will be tasting 2 sparkling wines, 1 excellent Chianti Classico, an Rosso di Montalcino from the famed Poggio Antico winery and Lagrien from Alto Adige.  Make sure to stop in and try some of these fantastic wines.

 Prosecco DOC, Fiol 
100% Glera grapes
.An award-winning, refreshing, and smooth expression of the Glera grape, with beautifully balanced acidity and moderate alcohol content. FIOL Prosecco Extra Dry is lively and refreshing on the palate with an elegant bouquet of white flowers, acacia and the tangy sweetness of mature crisp apples and pears.
Prosecco Rose, Fiol
85%Glera 15% Pinot Noir
Fruity aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry with hints of citrus lemons and white flowers. It’s perfect for sharing with friends or savoring over dinner.

Rosso di Montalcino, Poggio Antico 
100% Sangiovese from Molntalcino
Poggio Antico is one of Montalcino’s most elevated estates, with vineyards averaging 1476 feet above sea level, southwest of the famed medieval citadel. Both the unique location and altitude privilege the wines of Poggio Antico, which benefit from the perfect exposure and enjoy favorable overnight drops in temperature, ideal conditions that increase finesse and intense bouquet.
Aged for 8 months in 500L French oak barrels and 4 months in the bottle prior to release. Just like our Brunello, our Rosso is made with the same vinification process and incredibly low yields at harvest. Very concentrated (especially for a Rosso), this wine boasts lots of black currant & dark cherry flavors.

Chianti Classico , Capraia
90 % Sangiovese, 10% Colorino Canaiolo
I loved this producer and this particular vintage is fantastic.  This chianti is at a great value for the depth of this wine.
Bright and vibrant, the 2021 has plenty of fruit behind its lively acids. Dark red/purplish berries, crushed rocks, lavender and rose petal are some of the many notes that inform this explosive, deep Chianti Classico . Vinious 92pts

Lagrien, Eisacktal
100% Lagrien grapes
Lagrein is one of South Tyrol’s most noble red wines. For centuries, this grape variety has been grown in the warm and gravelly soils of the Bolzano–Gries area that give this wine its strong and expressive character.
